SAFe Release Train Engineer

In this four-day course, attendees will learn how to facilitate and enable end-to-end value delivery through Agile Release Trains (ARTs) as a SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE).

Course objectives

They will gain an understanding of the RTE role in a Lean-Agile transformation and will learn how to coach others in new processes and mindsets.

The course will also cover how to plan and execute a Program Increment (PI) planning event and how to manage the flow of value through the ART which is key to aligning all levels of a SAFe organization. Through experiential learning, attendees will explore the skills needed to build a high-performing ART through servant leadership and coaching.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification exam:

  • Hold at least one current SAFe certification
  • Launched or participated in at least one ART and one PI
