Leading SAFe® (SA Certification)
This two-day course in Leading SAFe will give you knowledge of what it takes to operate in an organization based on a Lean-Agile mindset by using the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and its underlying principles, which can be derived from Lean.
Course objectives
We go through areas such as systems thinking, Agile development, product development flow, Design thinking and DevOps. You will also learn about the seven (SAFe v. 5.0) core competencies required for Business agility. During the course, you get to practice defining business requirements as well as how to support and implement PI (Program Increment) planning as well as how to coordinate several agile release trains (ARTs).
You will also gain knowledge about what distinguishes a Lean-Agile mindset, why it is so important in the current business environment, as well as what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation.
You will also gain knowledge in how to organize agile teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) around value streams as well as the importance of having a customer-focused mindset. In addition, we go through Lean Portfolio Management, how to build the organization's "Lean" portfolio, a "Continuous Delivery pipeline" and DevOps culture and coordinate large complex solutions.

Prerequisites
Everyone is welcome to participate in the course, regardless of experience. Prior knowledge such as 5+ years of experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management and/or experience with Scrum is recommended.

- One year membership in the SAFe Community Platform.
Course certificate for completed course
Participants must attend all days of the course to qualify to write the certification exam.
Participants who pass the certification exam receive:
- SAFe Agilist certificate.
- A digital SAFe 5 Agilist badge to be able to communicate about the certification online.
- One year membership as a SAFe Agilist in the SA Community of Practice.
