IT-professional
Certifierad ScrumMaster (CSM)
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) is a standardized training developed by the Scrum Alliance. This training is based on the American version, but developed primarily in Swedish, and based on case studies and experiences from many years of implementing Scrum and Lean product development in Swedish industry.
Course objectives
Theoretical overviews illustrated with many cases and examples are interspersed with discussion and exercises. The material not only covers Scrum, but also shows how Scrum is in many cases combined with, and interacts with, Lean, other agile frameworks, and even traditional ways of working. Since the course leader has extensive experience with agile working methods outside the IT industry, there are many examples of this, but of course there is also a chapter focused on software development teams.
Target audience
This training is mainly for you who work as a ScrumMaster or agile coach, whether you are new to the job or experienced. Because Certified ScrumMaster gives a very good understanding of how the role is supposed to work in practice, what qualities and knowledge a ScrumMaster needs, and how the business cooperates with its ScrumMasters, the training is also for you who will work together with ScrumMasters, lead them, or recruit ScrumMasters.
Over the years, not only ScrumMasters and agile coaches have benefited from the training, but also team leaders, line managers, product managers, project managers, HR managers and recruiters.
In short, if you want to understand the role's responsibilities, powers, and how it is applied in Swedish companies today, this is the training for you!
Prerequisites
To get the most out of the training, it is good if you have a basic knowledge of Scrum and agile working methods. Perhaps you have worked in, or in contact with, one or more agile teams? However, it is not a must, as we start the first morning with a brief rehearsal of the framework's constituent parts, and how they are supposed to work.
Outline
In addition to an overview of Scrum, and how the framework relates to, and is often combined with, other agile and traditional frameworks, the role of ScrumMaster and agile coach is highlighted from the following perspectives:
- The coaching leader
- The organizer
- The facilitator
- The business developer
- Specific aspects concerning software development teams
Why should you join CSM with us at Lexicon?
- The course leader has experience since 2001 with Scrum and agile working methods, and is one of the people who has worked the longest in Sweden training and coaching ScrumMasters.
- Many courses still have case studies and examples from the US. Our training is firmly anchored in how Swedish industry and Swedish leadership work today, with many examples of how the interpretation of Scrum and leadership can vary in, for example, Swedish companies with offices in other countries.
- The course leader collaborates with industry and academia in traditional and Lean product development, in order to shed light on Scrum from these perspectives as well.
- The training is carried out in small groups, up to a maximum of 15 participants. We have listened to our participants over the years and found that many prefer an arrangement with a lot of exchange of experience between participants, and with course leaders.
